Contrary to my usual habit\u2014I used fewer words this time and shared more photos.<\/p>\n\n

Today is my birthday. A birthday that comes after a year in a different, distant country. I narrowed it down, and a year passed; I narrowed it down again, and a decade has already gone by here. There\u2019s no way I\u2019ve grown only in the past year. \n \nIn my mind, I planned to spend a lot of time this year writing, sharing, and giving plenty of space to everything that happened\u2014and is still happening\u2014in the move to another country. But in reality, I felt more suffocated and stayed silent instead of sharing. Even with myself, it was hard to find the words, and just when I started to succeed a little, I fell hard.<\/p>\n\n

It\u2019s been nearly five months since I fell, so sharply, on an icy street. Since then\u2014a strange hospital stay, three surgeries, rods and screws in numbers I never imagined my body could hold, and a rehabilitation journey full of unexpected turns. \n \nI\u2019m sharing glimpses of what I\u2019ve seen from this new vantage point, hoping soon to see everything in full color again and find more words\u2014I miss them dearly. \n \nTo all my beloveds across the globe, I send wishes for home, peace, calm, and a place to truly belong.<\/p>\n\n
