In this workshop, we will explore embroidery as a creative language and discover how much can be expressed with something as simple as thread.
Rather than focusing only on decorative techniques or different types of stitches, we will experiment with threads, colors, and different surfaces to capture movement, volume, texture, transparency, material qualities, character, and atmosphere.
You can work from anything that catches your attention or sparks your curiosity, whether it is a view from your window, a photograph, an object, or something entirely different. The idea is to look closely, experiment freely, and discover your own way of translating what you see and feel into thread.
- Each session is 90 minutes long.
- We will begin by exploring different sources of inspiration together and briefly discussing them, followed by learning various techniques for working with the language of embroidery.
- The sessions are scheduled according to Israel time, and of course, if you are joining from anywhere else in the world, or from the Boston area and have been curious about my workshops but have not joined one yet, this is a great opportunity to experience the workshop from home at a special introductory price.
- The sessions will be recorded and available to watch for a limited time.
- After registering and completing payment, you will be added to a dedicated group where you will receive the Zoom link and any additional information you may need. The group will also be a space to share your work, get feedback, ask questions, and exchange ideas with one another.
