Professional Growth Groups. Focused and Effective Support on the Path to Independence in Arts Therapy
You’re about to open your own practice! That’s it—you’re stepping into independence.
Enough time has passed since you completed your training. You’re already out there, continuing to grow and learn, and you feel like now is the time. Maybe you’ve already taken some steps forward but got tangled along the way or delayed for various reasons. Either way—you know you’re an excellent professional, and you’re ready.
So, what now? Where do you start How much time should you dedicate?
The world is full of therapists from all walks of life—how will you express your uniqueness and offer real added value? How will your message come across clearly and effectively, in a way that attracts the right clients to you?
There’s so much to learn and do to navigate this transition successfully—but it’s definitely possible!
Before you start looking for a location, an accountant, business advice, or get overwhelmed by information and tips online—I recommend beginning with professional, personalized guidance. Guidance that comes from our unique field, with an understanding of the complexities involved, especially as an independent practitioner.
Such support can save you a lot of time, frustration, and money.
You are, of course, warmly invited to individual coaching sessions with me. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of professionally supporting therapists working through the arts and social workers, providing personal guidance during this important transition. Coaching tailored for therapists starting out on their journey.
Additionally—you’re invited to join the The Next Phase: Professional Growth Groups: a focused group for therapists who believe in the many benefits of peer collaboration in personal, professional, and business contexts.
In the group, we’ll walk hand in hand, step by step. We’ll talk about everything you need to know on the path to independence. We’ll reflect on the population you want to work with in your clinic, deeply explore the unique value you want to offer to those who will be fortunate to have you as their therapist, and practice tools that will help you communicate that value to the right audience. Together, we’ll also discuss the many diverse dilemmas that come with this process—and it’s possible that new connections and partnerships will form along the way.
